Description
I love coming across something Mother Nature has made that I've never seen before...and I have my camera on hand...nice...
Giant Leopard Moth, also called Eyed Tiger Moth has a three inch wing span (76 mm). On some of the spots you can detect kind of an iridescent blue, which it's hiding more of under the wings on the body with a bit of orange and a smidge of green. Seriously this is very cool. In fact, it almost looks like a completely different animal with it's wings spread out. Even if I'd known this at the time, I would not have disturbed it to see. Maybe one day I'll be fortunate again to spy one with it's wings spread, if not it's okay because I'm in love with the beautiful simplicity and minimalist look of this one!
